The U.S. Green Building Council was founded in 1993 and is a non-profit organization that promotes sustainability in buildings. USGBC is recognized for developing the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system. Our Drexel group shares USGBC's mission: "To transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life."
