Goals:
  1. Annual conference for networking, etc.

  3. Philly sustainability career fair potential 
  4. Sharing information, collaborative atmosphere (AASHE website and listserv hosts most of the info out there for Philly-area admin group)
  5. Larger listserv for communication 
  6. Collaborative events, support planning, 
  7. Educational push - more of a fact based message out 
  8. Go to place for all things student dusty 
  9. Leverage the group to increase attendance at things like AASHE student summit

  • Successful Meatless Monday
  • Currently working on Take Back the Tap campaign 
  • Want to work more with food service providers

St. Joe's

  • St. Joe's is in its infancy, wants to jump in
  • 5 or 6 years ago got a dept. of energy grant and built a green room on science center --> sustainability department created from that, though still going through governance changes
  • Greenfund program is active (water refill stations, composting, community garden)
  • Wants to learn about umbrella structure

Penn

  • Basically, there's a lot going on. 
  • Link to SSAP (umbrella group) - has 18 constituents
  • Penn Environmental Group was first group on campus 
  • Greenfund is active (penncycle, hand dryers, Penn Sustainability Review, Green Acorn etc.)
  •  Green Campus Partnership link

Majr magazine

  • Started in August, connecting with groups around Philly
  • Wants to facilitate collab around the city and amplify things already happening 

Temple

  • Sustainability movement has exploded since groups have been collaborating 
  • First solar project off the ground
  • 10-13 organizations on the Green Council, around since 2010, becoming more of a collaborative platform
  • Event each month - Potlucks with a purpose - topics each month 
  • Campus Sustainability Week each semester with 15+ events and a Green Fair at Fall CSW
